3 New Businesses Set To Open At Trumbull Mall

TRUMBULL, CT — Crepes, Thai food and bubble tea are among the new food and beverage options that will soon be available to shoppers at the Trumbull Mall.

According to Director of Economic and Community Development Rina Bakalar, both T-swirl Crepe and Ruby Thai Kitchen have signed leases to open at the mall in the near future.

Both restaurants will be located in the mall’s food court, Bakalar said. She also noted the food court will officially be full once these two new additions open.

“It is great to see options that further diversify cuisine,” Bakalar said to Patch. “The food court is busy. It is visited by shoppers, but also increasingly people come in through the food court doors to pick up food or grab a quick bite.”

The new T-swirl Crepe location will mark the franchise’s sixth location in Connecticut, with restaurants located in Danbury, Fairfield, New Haven, Middletown and Berlin.

Black Pearl Bubble Tea, another new addition to the mall, is also set to hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting Nov. 1 on the mall’s main level near door 6, adjacent to the Express clothing store.

“They are a great addition to the upstairs main floor,” Bakalar said. “Their location is near one of the busiest entrances. They did a great job making their space attractive. Their product is also excellent. I expect them to do well.”

Offering high-quality bubble tea made from “freshly brewed tea, fresh fruits and dairy product of premium quality,” Black Pearl Bubble Tea currently operates locations at malls in both Stamford and Norwalk, as well as New York.

The three new businesses join a roster of stores, food stands and other types of businesses at the mall that has seen a number of new additions already this year.

Last month, CEC Entertainment, the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese, opened Fun Spot Arcade on the mall’s lower level, a 3,300-square-foot arcade offers customers “a new concept for gaming and entertainment experiences” designed to appeal to kids, teens and young adults.

That opening was just on the heels of Sana’s Beauty Esthetics, a health and beauty studio that held its grand opening at the mall in early August.

Earlier this year, mall officials confirmed a Nathan’s Famous hot dogs food stand had returned to the mall’s food court after closing there over a decade ago.
