Black Entrepreneurs Day at Minnesota State Capitol: Amplify Your Voice

Black Entrepreneurs Day at the Minnesota State Capitol is back for its third year, offering Black business owners and community leaders the opportunity to connect with legislators and advocate for the resources they need to succeed.

The event begins with a morning rally in the Capitol Rotunda, followed by one-on-one meetings between entrepreneurs and lawmakers. Attendees will also enjoy a complimentary lunch as part of the day’s activities.

Black Entrepreneurs Day underscores the importance of recognizing and supporting the contributions of Black entrepreneurs to Minnesota’s economy.

Notable attendees include:

  • Attorney General Keith Ellison
  • Minnesota Sen. Judy Seeberger, who will honor the late Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic
  • Rep. Jim Nash, representing Carver County towns Chaska and Waconia

Event Highlights

  • A $5,000 grant will be awarded to one attending entrepreneur.
  • Opportunity to directly engage legislators, share your challenges, and discuss solutions for your business.
  • Networking with fellow business owners and community leaders.

Sheletta Brundidge encourages attendees to come prepared with specific questions and demands, such as resources needed, obstacles faced, and how representatives can assist.
