Belle Collective is back on OWN for a fiery season 2. Ahead of the season premiere of the Kingdom Reign Entertainment-produced reality show, the cast proved they are more than shade-throwing southern belles and businesswomen by showcasing the soul of the city with #ADayInJackson. Local and national press were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime exploration of what Jackson has to offer, with the Belles at the center.

Shadow and Act Unscripted got to tour Two Mississippi Museums, the only state-funded museum in the United States complete with emotional depictions of African-American history and pivotal civil rights history, notably much of Medgar Evers’ local influence and legacy. Additionally, the cast and press visited Jackson State University’s historic Margaret Walker Center and the Visit Jackson office to learn more about opportunities for events in the city.

Food and fun in the city

Before wrapping up the day, the cast and press took a walking tour of the famous Farrish Street, the city’s historical block of booming Black businesses that the cast is dedicated to revitalizing.

The event ended with an intimate candlelight dinner at The Faulkner in Downtown Jackson with local Black-owned businesses catered by Chef Phillip Brown and designed by A Beautiful Event.
