There’s been renewed mainstream interest in Black-owned restaurants and the role of food in the Black community in recent weeks. Many publications have produced a list of eateries to support, and the DFW Black-Owned Restaurants public Facebook group, which was created just two weeks ago, already has more than 230,000 members. Black-owned businesses are obviously nothing new, and this is not a comprehensive list, but we’ve compiled more than 50 local food businesses here, including some city-focused lists for Mesquite, Irving, Frisco and more. Where are your favorite spots? And which ones should we add? Tell us!
