CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – January 16, 2025 is The Business Studio @ LCCC’s Grand Opening and Open House, officially marking the opening of a new Laramie County Community College program.
Through state government funding first applied for by LCCC in 2023 and received in 2024 comes The Business Studio, which Lindsey Stutheit, Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation says, “aims to help increase economic diversity and growth in our community.”
Resources by The Business Studio will be used to help those who have a business idea, or a small business.
Stutheit adds, “for me its really about the opportunity when you work with everybody and what we can accomplish when we layer our services and when we expand to include each other.”
Many different services are going to be offered, which includes connecting businesses with partners, monitoring progress, offering other LCCC facilities like The Concept Forge – Makerspace, and more.
“When they come through doors it’s really exciting because you start to see more of what the community is actually needing and we can start to iterate and adjust to meet those needs,” adds Stutheit.Â
While everything goes through LCCC, the program is not only for students, the general public has access as well.
Stephanie Reece is the Program Manager for gBETA Wyoming (Gener8tor) and a partner with The Business Studio, she says, “I think having the opportunity for entrepreneurs to not only have LCCC, our programs, the SBDC, the Wyoming Business Council gosh all the acronyms really, it just adds to the ecosystem makes it a lot more rich.”
The program hopes as according to Stutheit are to “strengthen the community” and eventually in the future reach people statewide to provide resources to those all across Wyoming.Â
The Business Studio’s Grand Opening and Open House will be at LCCC and starts at 1:30 p.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m.Â
