The Paul Hornung Award is given to the football player who is the most versatile player at the college level.
A two-way football player from Colorado (meaning he plays both offense and defense), Travis Hunter, who is certainly a lock to make the NFL, made history when he was named the winner of the 2024 Paul Hornung Award is the only player in history to win it twice in consecutive seasons.
The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) says the Paul Hornung Award given to the football player who is the most versatile player at the college level.

“I would like to thank all my teammates and I think the awards I win are team awards,” Hunter said in a written statement I want to thank the Louisville Athletic Commission and the Paul Hornung Award voters for blessing me with this award twice. I would also like to thank Coach Prime for allowing me to do what I do, as well as all the coaches and staff around the CU football team. This is for all of us.”
Hunter had an incredible historic season as he was named the Big 12 Player of the Year, an All-Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-Big 12 receiver and quarterback.He made conference history by becoming the first player who earned first team honors on both offense and defense.
