Netflix has left the first -looking photos and revealed the date of the premiere for Forever, The adaptation of Mara Brock Akil’s Netflix series from Judy Blume’s novel.
This occurs after a minute and a half -minute teaser fell in January, although we had no official photos at that time.
ForeverThe official description is called: Judy Blume’s innovative novel, Forever, is reimaginated for a new generation by Mara Brock Akil. It is an epic love story of two black teenagers that explores romance and their identity through the unpleasant journey of being the first, set in Los Angeles, 2018.
The cast includes Lovie SimoneMichael Cooper Jr., Karen Pittman, Wood Harris, Xosha Roquemore, Marvin Winans III, Niles Fitch, Barry Shabaka Henley, Ali Gallo, Adriyan Rae, Paigion Walker, Xavier Mills and Emyri Crutchfield.
Simone plays Keisha Clark, “ a young confident, smart and burning star with Clear Dreams for Life after high school ”, with Cooper performing Justin Edwards, “ a Nerd in the heart disguised in the body of an athlete. Justin dreams of playing Basketball D1 and getting more than his parents successfully. Love will take him to who he really is. ”
“I have always credited Judy Blume as part of the seasoning of my voice as a writer,” said Brock Akil to Tudum de Netflix. “ He was one of the first writers I read that he dared to be honest about the human condition in young people and can see traces of his style of writing within mine. What the best metaphor of this love story than what represents, not only for me, but many people.It is a place for dreamers, and to pursue dreams is no different than to pursue love, with the lighths, the lighthouses, the lighthous and the lighthouses.
When is “Forever” on Netflix?
Brock Akil is the showrunner and creator, and the executive produces with Judy Blume, Susie Fitzgerald, Erika Harrison, Sara White, Regina King, Reina King, Shana C. Waterman and Anthony Hemingway. Regina King directs the first episode.
