Nicole Ari Parker joins the cast of The next HBO DC Comic Series, Lanters, Joining -Aaron Pierre.
He joins the show as Bernadette, the mother of Pierre’s character John Stewart.
The character’s description says: “Formidable and tenacious, Bernadette refuses to give up, no matter how unsurpassed. In her nucleus, she is a mother of fierce protection who has worked all her life to ensure that she and her family will not be elapsed. “”
Kyle Chandler is Pierre’s co-leader, playing Hal Jordan. Other members of the cast are Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan and Ulrich Thomsen.
According to their official logline, Flashlight “Follow the new recruit John Stewart and the legend of the flashlight Hal Jordan, two intergalactic police trapped in a dark, based mystery, while investigating a murder in the US.”
The series is produced by HBO in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios. It is co-written by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King. The first two episodes are led by James Hawes. The executive producers are Mundy, Lindelof, King and Hawes.
