If you are fan of Thrillers of cord actionYou may have already seen trailers for the last blockbuster movie Ultimate. The film, which premieres in theaters on March 14, details the shocking story of a gang Several of the north seathat runs against the clock to save one of his brothers in the arms of a deadly underwater accident. Because some elements of the movie seem to be greater than life, many have begun to ask -if the narrative of Ultimate is Based on a true story. Although it may seem shocking, the film is, in fact, a retention of real events, as shown in a 2019 documentary with the same name.

As the film has already received criticism of criticism, now it seems the perfect time to uninemken the true background of UltimateAnd see what we can learn about the heroes of real life behind the story. Note that there will be great spoilers for the new movie. However, these details should not enjoy the enjoyment of the story, as the film is an adaptation of the true events. In any case, we go around and see what we can bring to the surface.

What happens to “Last Breath”?

Ultimate The stars Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu and Finn Cole as professional divers who work within the traitor of North Sea, on the coast of Scotland. During a submarine routine repair in 2012, the gang represented in the film is shocked to find the dynamic positioning system of its failed ship mysteriously during a storm. With nothing to hold his boat in place along the chopped waves, the diver who hooks the diver Chris Lemons (Cole) on the nave sinks, leaving him in the black depths of the pitch without heat, power, lights or comms. To get worse, the Lemons dress is equipped with only five minutes of backup oxygen.

With the knowledge that would take a minimum of 30-40 minutes only to locate their submerged diver, the rest of the gang adapted and prepared for a rescue mission, although most recognize that it will probably be a recovery mission to recover the lemons. Like the plot of Ultimate Play, the team fights against Brutal weather conditionsMalfunctions of dangerous technology and their own uncertainty, before miraculously throwing lemons on the living surface and well. Everything seems almost too unpleasant to be true, although all the original divers are alive to tell the current story. Although the movie obviously Ultimate It really portrays a precise representation of what the crew experienced more than 13 years ago.

Unpacking the 2019 documentary about Chris Lemons’ story

If you are fan of documentary moviesMaybe you know UltimateThe narrative was the subject of a non -fiction information film in 2019. The film, which also offered dramatic screen collections, the images of real life captured by the cameras of the body and other technologies of the Lemons boat, in order to give the audience a real and accurate visualization experience. It is essentially impossible to explain how exactly the diver lived through the test, considering that its oxygen levels extended almost 10 times more than they should have, and it was in freezing cold water while waiting rescue. You could say that his survival was a pure luck, an act of God or only a by -product of the extensive underwater formation of lemons and a lens to the cold depths of his years within the pressed diving vessels.

During an interview with Weather, Ultimate Director Alex Parkinson emphasized: “ You could say that Chris was the most unpleasant person in the world for the accident to pass in the first place. But, on the contrary, he was the luckiest person in the world that all the right people were in the right place to do the right time in the right time in the exact sequence appropriate to rescue and resuscitate it. “. Parkinson has no professional diving experience, although he told how he was attracted to the story of Lemons after seeing the documentary due to the universal sensation of overwhelming claustrophobia. “I love stories where the truth is more strange than fiction because it gives you an incredible view of human psyche,” he said in the previous interview. “Chris should have died that night. But his story is a great example of how human spirit can overcome anything.”

Where are the divers of “The Last Breathing” today?

Although the 2012 incident that was inspired by Ultimate It was traumatic for all parties, each of the key players involved in the exciting film continued to dive much after the experience close to death took place. In fact, real life Chris Lemons, David Yuasa and Duncan Allcock met with their counterparts on the screen during the film’s production, providing a personal view of their unique experiences. The gang even met for the February premiere of Ultimatewhere arms were photographed with Hollywood stars. Divers seem to have been close friends since the incident and have kept contact both at the workplace and outside the workplace.

Allcock finally He retired From diving just last year, putting a cap in a long life stored in the sea. Lemons, at the same time, still work in the background recovery and repair industry, although from a safer location out of the water. Today, lemons remain dry, though it continued to immerse -for more than a decade after the scary events showing Ultimate. Yuasa is the only member of the crew that is still routinely continued in underwater missions, which now works under a company different from the one represented in the 2019 documentary. Although it is a miracle that these men lived to tell their story, their situation is a really impressive film experience. Those interested in finding -Spishes should be assured Ultimate In theaters on March 14.
