McCain has been the top pick for Rookie of the Year
McCain has been rolling, scoring a game-high 34 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers in November. Also, as NBA.com points out, in eight games this season, he has scored 20 or more points.
While he’s currently the front-runner for Rookie of the Year, this is a huge blow not only to his prospects for that, but also to the Sixers’ prospects for their season, with the team already battling injuries with Joel Embiid, Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin.
