Alpha Phi Alpha Chapter Donates Over 100 Laptops to Underserved Communities in Guyana

In a strong presentation of international service and solidarity, the brothers of alpha Fi Alpha brothers, Mu XI Lambda Chapter He traveled to Georgetown, Guena in February to connect more than 100 laptops – evaluated by more than $ 14,000 – to deprived communities across the region.

Under the leadership of the chapter, the vice president, the head of the direct chapter, the distribution of alpha men of laptops to four societal organizations: Colaco/ACDA, Mushha Arcadia, Parbamel Community Center, and Victoria Community Center. Devices are used to launch computer laboratories, support for entrepreneurship, and expand youth development initiatives throughout the country.

The MU XI Lambda chapter includes the Rivside and San Bernardino Province in California, making it the largest area served by any alpha alpha chapter in the continental United States. The project reflects the task of brotherhood to develop leaders, promote homogeneous Brotherhood and academic excellence, and provide service and invitation to societies.

For the source of laptops, holding the separation with the local community college area, securing and reusing surplus equipment for global influence. While they were in Guaana, the brothers participated with local leaders, youth and teachers, which enhances the joint commitment to the exchange of resources, education and black diaspora connection.

“This was more than technology – it was related to the promises of our promises and the creation of permanent bridges between black societies worldwide,” said Pro said. Dr. Jamal c. Merik.

The head of the chapter is his brothers. Dewayne Cezre added that the work represents the invitation of alpha Fi Alpha to be “slaves for all”, and the continued long -term brotherhood commitment to transforming life through education, advocacy and collective lifting.

Through this project, MU XI Lambda reminded the world that the service has no limits – nor the Brotherhood’s betrayal.
