Alpha Phi Alpha Releases Statement Supporting Rep. Al Green’s Protest at Presidential Address

Alpha Phi Alpha Fratenity, Inc. A verbal statement this morning praising her brotherly brothers from Congress member Al -Green because of his bold stance against President Donald J. The latest Trump during the president’s speech to a joint session of Congress. In the statement, the brothers praised the courage and condemnation of Green in publicly speaking, despite facing the expulsion from the room.

Representative Green, a experimental chapter in 1968 at the University of Florida A & M and a representative of Texas a long time ago, stood up and announced that the president “has no mandate” to cut a maided before being removed by the spokesman Mike Johnson. The brothers confirmed that the actions of Green are in line with the history of alpha Fi Alpha for the activity of civil rights, a legacy carried by respected members such as Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior, Paul Robson, Reeb Adam Kleiton Powell, Junior, the higher judge Thorgud Marshall.

In its statement, Alpha Phi Alpha condemned the recent procedures by the Trump administration, including executive orders targeting the nationality of births, eliminating diversity, fairness, and integration programs (Dei), and proposed solutions in the Education Department. The brothers also expressed her refusal to shoot the last four -star brother Charles K. Brown, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Alpha Phi Alpha, Brother Lucien J The brothers reaffirmed its commitment to mobilize its members to meet the representatives of Congress and members of the Senate to retreat against these policies.

Alpha Phi Alpha stated that he is still devoted to progress and protect African Americans and colored people. With a long -term tradition of standing at the forefront of civil rights and social justice, the brothers made it clear that it will not remain silent as the efforts made to decline in historical developments.
