Brian Taylor and Larry Soton pledged to have the presence of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Together in the fall of 1982 by the famous Lambda Phi chapter in Suny Old Westbury. After more than four decades, their ties reached a little depth that he could imagine – Taylor recently gave Soton a gift from the Muslim Brotherhood: one of his kidneys.
On June 2, 2025, the two men underwent a successful kidney transplant at the University of Northshore Hospital, where he sealed a friendship that started on the streets of the bed, and was falsified in Sigma Brothrhood.
“Words cannot express the love I have for him,” said Soton News12 Brooklyn. “I feel he saved my life. When someone does for you, you feel that you owe them your life.”
Two years after dialysis, a donor waiting, Soton’s health was dwindling. Taylor, to which love, faith and memory moved – especially his brother who died due to kidney failure 20 years ago – moved forward. Against difficulties, the two were a match.
Taylor said: “When I discovered this, I felt my brother’s spirit put his hand, saying” Good work. “” I felt that my brother was there. “
