Southern University officials announced a series of procedures after the death of the student Calib Wilson, who died last week after what they called an unbroken event outside the campus. The university put a stop and Desist in the Sigma Psi Psi Phi Fratenity, Inc. All the membership of the Greek organization suspended at least the remainder of the school year during the investigation.
In a statement to the university community published Social media Friday afternoon, Counselor John K. expressed. Pierre for his condolences due to Wilson’s death and emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to students’ safety and accountability. According to the statement, the university is conducting internal procedures and judicial procedures under the behavior law, with potential disciplinary measures taken for any individuals or organizations that have been found to violate school policies.
The statement also stated that the Southern University is cooperating with law enforcement, including the Patton Rouge Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office, which leads a criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding Wilson’s death. University officials made leadership available for inquiries and participated in journalistic law enforcement.
