A Florida couple is in jail after authorities charged the parents with aggravated child abuse. Lance Eugene Rachel According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile was allegedly hit with a belt “more than 50 times.” Kimberly Coren Rachelit was not possible to stop the beating. As a result, they are both now in police custody.

Sheriff’s Office published a summary The case on Facebook on Dec. 16. It was revealed that the Florida parents began their investigation on Dec. 11 after receiving a report of the alleged offensive incident on the 7th. Kimberly and the juvenile were at the Kissimmee home.
Police say Lance became angry about the missing couch cushion and accused the juvenile of lying about it. For about half an hour, Lance cursed and beat the juvenile with a belt.
“The suspect maliciously punished the child by shouting obscenities and physically abusing the victim for 28 minutes. The victim was hit more than 50 times with a belt. He was also choked and several derogatory names and other obscenities were uttered,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
In addition, Lance Eugene Rachel allegedly told the child he was going to break his jaw. The incident was reportedly captured on home surveillance cameras. Detectives interviewed Lance on December 16 and reportedly confirmed the abuse.
At one point during the incident, Mr. Rachel told the victim he was going to break her jaw. Part of the incident was captured on home surveillance cameras. Kimberly Coren Rachel was arrested for witnessing the abuse and failing to report it to the police.
Combined charges against the Florida couple include aggravated child abuse by strangulation and failure to report child abuse with information related to this case or similar incidents, call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222.
