Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Kieren Lacey, according to ESPN:. Police are accusing the potential 2025 NFL draft pick of fleeing the scene without offering help. PEOPLE: The victim has been identified as Herman Hall, 78, a former Marine from Thibodeau, Louisiana.
State police say Kyren Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed on a Louisiana highway on Dec. 17. They allege Lacy “passed multiple vehicles recklessly, crossed the center line northbound and at an unsafe speed.” entered the forbidden zone.
Lacey is believed to have been passing other vehicles when the northbound pickup suddenly braked and swerved to avoid the collision.The driver of the 2017 Kia Cadenza was traveling behind the Dodge Charger, according to ESPN swerved left to avoid Lacy, who crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento. Herman Hall was a passenger in the southbound Kia Sorento and later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Cadenza also suffered moderate injuries, ESPN reported. Furthermore, authorities allege Lacey drove around the crash and drove away without stopping or reporting her involvement in the crash.

Kieren Lacey has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and reckless operation of a vehicle, according to ESPN.Police have reportedly contacted the footballer and his lawyer to urge him to surrender.
However, Lacy’s agent Rock Arceneaux said X: (formerly Twitter) that he is “fully cooperating with the authorities”.
