Police are reportedly filing charges against a third-grader accused of making bomb threats against two Ohio schools.

Details on third grader accused of making bomb threats at Ohio schools
PEOPLE: reports that a third-grade girl allegedly used a Facebook page to claim that someone planted bombs at Clearview High School and Durling Middle School in Lorain. Authorities did not share the exact dates of the threats, but both schools, in the Clearview Local School District together with, were closed on December 12.
The outlet also reported that authorities determined the bomb threat was a false alarm after no explosives were found, and both schools returned to normal on December 13 WOW!.
WHICH? determined that the third-grader was not a student at either of the schools targeted by the bomb threats. He allegedly attends Vincent Elementary. Although his name and exact age remain undisclosed, officials say he has now been charged in connection with the social media posts. Investigators tracked down his account, and authorities confirmed he had made similar threats back in September.

PEOPLE adds that the third-grade girl now faces criminal charges and has been sent to the Hamilton County Juvenile Court Assessment Center, according to Dr. Jerome Davis, the school district’s superintendent on his website.
Meanwhile, Jacob Kyle, the coach at Durling High School, one of the schools targeted by the bomb threat, shared his thoughts on the situation.Kyle told WOIO he couldn’t believe a young girl was behind the threats.
“It’s very sad” Kyle said: “Seeing these kids and having kids in this school in this day and age is not what you want to hear, especially someone so young to have access to that social media.”
Also, Kyle is shocked to reveal that he had access to Facebook, saying he shouldn’t be on social media. “I don’t think anyone under 18 should have it, to be honest, but that’s just me.” Kyle continued.
