James WC Pennington has been elected a third cohort of Fellows, and in this fall will be historically to the campuses of black colleges and universities.
The announcement was made on Tuesday at the New Haven City Hall.
Pennington Scholarship was put into operation in 2022 and funded by Yale University.
The 2022 foundation of the foundation of the foundation of Pennington was served in the Election Committee of the Yale Slavery Working Group, which caused 2022 findings.
“As a proud game, it means a lot to witness young people from a new paradise and success in HBCU travel with so strong community support,” he said.
Pennington Fellows receives $ 2,000 ($ 80,000 in total for only four years) to support their education in one of the six partners HBCU, Hampton University, Morgan State University, North Carolina A & T State University and Spelman College.
2025 cohortu includes matriculent at four different universities.
Three, Howard University in Washington will attend the University of Highville Charter School of Highville Martin and Jamevile Hillhouse High School of Hill Regional Career Anya Avery Ofs.
Both will be registered at the Hampton University in Virginia’s Tidewater region. These are: both and Xavier Smith, both cooperative art and humanitarian sciences are high.
Two more, North Carolina A & T State University will register in Greensboro this fall. These are: Diyani Dolberry in the high school in the high school in the Sau’mora Society and Sau’mora.
The last two Pennington friends will attend Morgan State University in Baltimore. These are: Ashanti Troutman of the New Haven Academy Lashae Fairweather and High School in Society.
“This unique opportunity was met with great success,” said New Haven President Patricia Melton said. “To date, buyers have maintained strong GPA and all continue in their work. Financial support reduces an HBCU experience more suitable, college debt and comrades and their loans for their friends and their parents.”
