The epitome of perseverance and ambition, Inara Brady proved that age is no barrier to achievement. On December 12th, at just 19 years, 10 months, and 4 days old, this beautiful young woman graduated from South Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Brady’s vacation travel a testament to his unwavering commitment to education and personal development. From an early age, learning was a priority in his family, which allowed him to skip first grade after kindergarten due to his advanced abilities.
His path continued to flourish at Midland Valley High School, where he participated in a dual enrollment program that allowed him to earn an associate degree at Aiken Technical College while completing his high school diploma. Balancing academics with athletics, Brady excelled as a three-sport athlete, participating in softball, basketball and track and field.
link to State of SChe entered his junior year at 17, skipping his regular freshman year. Despite the challenges of adjusting to college life, Brady maintained a busy schedule by becoming a key member of the Bulldog softball team for two seasons. “There’s no school that compares to SC State,” he said.
Brady’s time at SC State not only enhanced his intellectual capacity, but also connected him with invaluable mentors who would guide him on his professional journey. “The mentors I have found over the past 2 ½ years are people I will continue to rely on throughout my professional life. SC There are many opportunities to start a family within the State.

Brady plans to pursue a master’s degree in clinical counseling with a focus on addiction and recovery. His journey is not just for himself; and to make way for her six-month-old daughter Arani. “Honestly, I want him to know that no matter what you go through, anything is possible,” Brady said. “You can do anything you put your mind to, no matter what obstacles come up. Indeed, there is nothing that cannot be achieved with hard work and dedication.”
Brady attributes much of his success to his mother’s unwavering support and encouragement throughout his life. “My mother made sure I had every opportunity to succeed,” she said. “I just want her to know that Black girls graduate. Little Black girls become big Black graduates. We can achieve things that people think we can’t do.”
As she prepares for graduate school and embraces motherhood, Brady embraces the challenges ahead, but she approaches them with the same enthusiasm that defined her undergraduate experience. “Sometimes it’s hard to juggle, but what adult doesn’t sometimes have to juggle life?” he said. “I don’t want my path to be an easy one. I mean, I won. I want to say that I overcame everything.”
Brady proves that determination and dedication can lead to remarkable achievements, regardless of age.
