What kind of beef ribs should I buy?
I use chuck short ribs for this recipe. Beef short ribs have a nice slice on the meat on one side. These ribs are close to the cow’s shoulder and contain very little fat. You can also use short ribs for this recipe. Flat short ribs are evenly fleshed to the bone. Beef back ribs are delicious but not the best choice for this recipe. These are not meaty as most of the meat near the bones is included in the prime rib roast.
The number of beef ribs you can fit in your air fryer varies by brand. With the air fryer basket up, I can fit about 5 pounds of bone-in beef ribs in my Ninja Foodie Grill. Use chuck short ribs that are between 2 and 1/2 and 3 inches long.
How do I season beef ribs for barbecue?
I use Montreal Steak Seasoning for this beef ribs recipe. Recipes for Montreal seasoning vary, but it usually includes coarse salt, pepper, and crushed garlic, as well as red pepper, coriander, and fennel seeds.
Before cooking, you can generously season the beef ribs with 2 tablespoons of Montreal seasoning or simply use 2 tablespoons of kosher salt, 1 teaspoon of freshly cracked black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of dried garlic.
What is the best way to care for beef ribs?
To get tender beef ribs, it is best to cook them for a long time wrapped in foil. Cover the seasoned beef ribs with a double layer of aluminum foil to seal in all the juices and steam. Make sure to wrap the ribs well so that no juices or fat escapes during cooking. Watch the video Above to see how I do it. Cook the beef ribs in your air fryer at 350 degrees for about 2 hours or until the meat is tender. Put on oven gloves and carefully remove the foil packet of meaty goodness from the air fryer.
Should I put sauce on my beef ribs?
If you like barbecue sauce on your beef ribs, this is the time to add it. Turn the heat on your air conditioner to 375 degrees. Open the foil packet carefully (the steam can burn you), remove the ribs from the foil and place them in an air-cooled basket. Brush the ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce and air fry for 2 minutes per side to brown the ribs. Sometimes I grill my ribs without sauce just to baste the outside of the meat.
Can pork ribs be cooked in an air fryer?
no way! I like to cook. Baby back ribs in my air fryer as well Country style pork ribs in the air fryer. Both styles of pork ribs are tender and delicious in the air fryer.
