The season includes the 2024 Celebration Bowl against defending champion Jackson State, Real HU’s historic Battle against Howard and the annual Gulf Battle against Norfolk State.
The Pirates begin their campaign on August 30 with a non-conference road game at Jackson State. Hampton has four games on its non-conference slate, all against HBCU opponents. The home opener is Sept. 6 against Elizabeth City State.
On Sept. 20, the Pirates travel to Washington to face Howard in their 100th edition. Real HU battle, a rivalry that started in 1908. The non-conference schedule concludes Oct. 4 with a home game against Norfolk State in the Battle of the Bay.
Hampton opens Coastal Athletic Association play Sept. 13 at North Carolina A&T. After facing Howard, the Pirates resume conference action on Sept. 27 at Elon. Hampton hosts Campbell on Oct. 11 before traveling to Villanova on Oct. 18. The Pirates then return home on Oct. 25 for a game against Monmouth, Maine in Nov. 8, and William & Mary on November 15.
The regular season ends Nov. 22 with a trip to Rhode Island. The Oct. 25 game against Monmouth will serve as Hampton’s homecoming, where the Pirates have compiled a 57-36-3 homecoming record.
