It’s no secret that Michael Vick is a beloved figure in the Norfolk and Hampton Roads community.
In addition, Vick, a four-time Pro Bowl NFL quarterback, is the football and life journey that makes him the ideal candidate to lead Norfolk State, according to basketball legend Allen Iverson.

Allen was referring to how Vick went from being a No. 1 NFL sensation at Virginia Tech to a Heisman Trophy finalist to serving 21 months in federal prison before returning to the pros. freedom of football.
“It’s a great story. It’s cool,” Iverson said. “It’s a wonderful day out for everyone, not just kids.”
