Jones announced he has committed to South Carolina. He has one year of eligibility remaining after previously being transferred from Memphis.

Jones, ranked as the No. 9 defensive end by transfer portal On3Sports, has offers from Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and Georgia State, among others.
In 2024, Jones compiled 122 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a defensive touchdown for Grambling.
