Arise Royals Montessori, a private school at Amanfro on March 6 won the Ga South Municipal independence anniversary march pass competition held at the Ngleshie Amanfro basic school park.
The school in its debut beat eleven other schools to claim the ultimate award, trophy and a plaque.
The school also received a special award for its overwhelming performance during the march pass.

Christian Methodist School won the second prize while the 3rd prize went to the Oriens School Complex at American Farm.
Taribiya Islamic cluster of schools were presented with consolations awards.
The parade was witnessed by the Chief of Ngleshie Amanfro, Nii Kwashie, Gborbilor IV, Member of Parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Felix Akwetey Nii Okley, Weija Divisional Commander of the Ghana Police, COP Freeman Kumashie, municipal education officers and Assembly member of the Amanfro Electoral Area, Joseph Kobina Fiamor.

In a speech read on her behalf, the Greater Regional Minister, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, called on residents in the Ga South municipality to rally behind the government in the achievement of its resetting the nation targets because they will become ultimate beneficiaries.
She said the good thing about the theme of this year’s independence anniversary celebration is that it enjoins them to properly review the happenings in their communities and institutions to ignite a paradigm shift from their old ways of doing things as people.
It is only a proper reflection and review of our systems and actions as Ghanaians that we can have a true reset of this dear country of ours she said .

Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo noted that President Dramani Mahama in recent weeks has begun a series of activities to kick-start his rest the nation process.
This includes the National Education Forum held in Ho, which is aimed at transforming the education system for a sustainable future.
He again held the National Economic Dialogue in Accra with stakeholders from civil society organisations, the business community and government to set the course for Ghana’s Economic recovery and long-term growth

Speaking during the programm, the MP for the area, Felix Akwetey Nii Okley said the Theme for this year’s Independence Anniversary celebration which says Reflect Review and Reset is a clarion call for Ghanaians to do their best to develop the nation.
He said as a member of parliament he deeply understands the importance of education and the vital role its play by shaping the youths for the future.
He urged Ghanaians to reflect on the milestone the country has achieved in the past 68 years that should continue to build all the foundation of unity and self reliance.
The visibly elated Proprietor of Arise Royals Montessori Gloria Baaba Riverson said she was not surprised because they engaged some security personnel to come to train the children.
