BRATTLEBORO (AP) — Freezing rain and high winds contributed to a number of road accidents in Vermont Tuesday night and Wednesday morning as a drop in temperatures overnight turned wet road surfaces into black ice.
Vermont State police responded to a number of motor vehicle crashes and vehicles off the road. Route 9 between Brattleboro and Wilmington was closed for a short time due to the road conditions and traffic crashes.
