The Gama Alpha branch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, which represents the University of California, Berkeley, San Francisco State University, and San Francisco University, received prestigious honors in the Western Province Council 78, which was held 12-16 March in Long Beach, California. Distinguished separation achievements in leadership, academics and community participation have been recognized with many prominent awards.
Among the acquired differences, Gama Alpha was named after “Peter Berter Junior”, the academic semester of the year, a granted honor for the most distinguished university semester in the West Province, according to the achievement committee. The chapter was also recognized for its academic excellence, as it was awarded the amended semester of the suspended characteristics to maintain the highest average degree among all semesters in the region. In addition, their dedication to documenting and preserving the history of brotherhood was recognized with the Steling Doer Scapbook Award, with the best documents recorded for separation activities.
In addition to the team success, Brother Ethan Monroe distinguished himself by winning three prestigious individual awards. Monroe was honored with Robert L. Harris, watering. The Polemarch Province, which is offered to a person whose contributions in the West Province were really exceptional. He also received the E. Lionel Davis Award for University Achievement in appreciation of his distinguished achievements as a member of the brotherhood. Moreover, Monroe’s commitment to civil participation earned him the Curtis R. Silvers CIVIC MERIT Award, with highlighting his ideal contributions inside and outside the campus.

In addition to the university awards, Brother Tirion Gilory Junior, who is the director of Western Operations, Director of the Capa Alpha Province, and the Consultant of the Gamma Alpha, won the James L. Bradford in the seventh and eighth Western District Council recognizes this award in the distinguished service of the Western boycott, with criteria that require at least five consecutive years of exceptional service, active participation in the provincial council meetings with a minimum of 70 %, and a good standing at all levels of brotherhood.
Protier Guillory’s long -term contributions were also recognized at Kappa Alpha Psi at the national level. In 2022, he received the Randall C. Bacon Alumni Account, and in honor of his exceptional impact within the West Province. In 2023, he was awarded the Grand Chapter Consultant Award, the highest grade of granted to the graduate member in distinguished guidance and leadership.
The achievements of the chapter, Gamma Alpha and its members, are once again proven a legacy of academic excellence, leadership and civil participation in the West Kapa Alpha Bossi Province. With national and regional prizes, the separation continues to support the values of achievement and service for the brotherhood, which sets a standard for university members throughout the country.
