Alpha Phi Alpha Fratenity has released, Inc. A strong condemnation of President Donald J. Trump’s executive to dismantle the US Department of Education.
In a statement issued today, the brothers were characterized by moving as part of a wider effort to undermine educational opportunities for marginalized and deprived students, especially those who are low -income, or racist marginalized, or live with disability. Alpha Phi Alpha condemned the executive matter as a direct threat to enforcing civil rights and educational fairness, warning that it might significantly reduce access to higher education for the dearest.
Alpha Phi Alpha urged public prosecutors to take legal action in an attempt to prevent the executive order, and called on elected officials to resist the administration’s efforts to equip the agency from within.
In addition, the brothers fill its membership to engage directly with legislators. All chairmen Alpha Fi Alpha were directed to contact their representatives in the US Congress and members of the Senate to express the position of brotherhood and clarity of the demand for the place where every elected official stands in this case. As part of the Pottom-aothly Foundly People is an initiative from the hopeless people, the brothers have announced plans to collect and publish a list of Congress’ positions in this regard to hold leaders accountable.
Alpha Fi Alpha stressed that the executive order is directly opposed to the founding principles of the brotherhood and the important that I supported since its foundation in 1906.
“As the first brotherhood between the colleges that were established by American men of African descent, this attack is the opposite of why our brilliant brothers were imagined and established.”
The brothers reaffirmed its commitment to the call to African Americans and colored persons, especially in the field of education and public policy, and pledged to remain at the forefront of the struggle for equal protection and access to learning opportunities.
The Trump administration’s decision to dismantle the Ministry of Education, a federal agency established in 1979 to enhance students’ achievement and ensure equality of education, has sparked a sharp violent reaction from civil rights organizations, teachers and political leaders. Critics argue that this step can undermine federal supervision of the education policy, weaken the enforcement of anti -discrimination laws, and reduce access to higher education for students who depend on federal financial assistance and protection.
