A bar in downtown Providence was the location of a disturbance involving over 100 people overnight, GoLocal has learned.
A beer bottle was reportedly thrown at police outside of The Black Sheep on Westminster Street – and police say bar security was “uncooperative” during the incident.
Two people were arrested; a security guard reportedly threatened police.

Police have responded to calls in recent years to the bar, including suspected cocaine overdoses inside the establishment.
About Incident
Shortly after 1 AM Sunday, police were called to Black Sheep for a report of a large disturbance.
When police arrived, officers said there were reportedly over 100 people in front of the bar, and a beer bottle was thrown at a police cruiser.
Police said they immediately shut the bar down; according to police, bar security was reportedly uncooperative and refused to provide their names. A security guard also reportedly threatened officers.
According to police, two people were arrested.
Marcus Espinal, 27 and Adriel Vigniero-Diaz, 19 were taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.
When reached for comment bar owner Oscar Worthington said questions would need to be referred to the bar’s attorney Nick Hemond.
