This summer, many members of our community have joined some of the world’s leading technology companies in internships.
They wrote code, solved problems and discovered what it felt like to contribute their talents in the actual environments. While returning to school, they carry new skills, fresh confidence and stories that inspire us all.
In this rounding, we shine a spotlight on some internship trips. These experiences represent more than just summer work – they are milestones on the road to building careers, make connections and prove that black technologists everywhere should take place innovation.
Amina, Prairie View A&M University – Technical Product Manager -Intern at Servicenow


Amina spent the summer as a technical product manager intern at Servicenow’s headquarters in Santa Clara. She gained valuable insights in the TPM role, contributed to meaningful projects and built strong connections with colleagues and fellow interns. Reflect on her experience, Amina shared, “I learned so much about the TPM roll. Thanks to my team for the support, guidance and space to grow. I am so grateful for everything this experience has taught me! ‘
Ryan, Prairie View A&M University -Software Development Engineer -Internet at Amazon


Ryan returned to Amazon as an Internet Internet -Internet in Seattle, based on the establishment of a previous internship. He reconnected with teams, contributed to new projects and continued to tighten his engineering skills. His journey reflects persistence, mentoring and community support – all the most important ingredients in shaping meaningful career experiences.
Jada, North -Carolina A&T State University -Software Engineering -Intern at Microsoft


Jada has completed an impactful summer as a software engineering -intern at Microsoft, where her work on the automation of the browser significantly reduced. She contributed to various projects, worked with engineers in Redmond and submitted her work to teams in Tokyo. In addition to engineering, Jada participated in the Internal Hackathon (earnings 3rd place), participated in mentoring and severe programs and shared her projects at Internal Demos. Following the summer, she marks up, “One of my biggest take-away meals was learning to be more independent in problem solving and problem solving-I would bring me into every future challenge.”
Noah, Northern Carolina A&T State University -Software Engineering -Intern by Cisco


Noah wrapped his stage at Cisco in the Cryptography Ipsec team, where he developed a Python-based AI instrument with Rag and Langchain to help engineers more effectively to quantum safety cryptography. He describes the summer as transformational-an opportunity to contribute meaningful work, solve confidence in solving problems in the real world and learning from supportive mentors. When I look back, Noah shared that the experience has given him A deeper appreciation for teamwork, documentation and cryptographic standards. ‘
As these students return to their studies, we celebrate their achievements and the bright future ahead.
Their successes remind us of the reason why the mission of blacks in technology is important: to create space, opportunity and visibility for black technologists everywhere.
