A dream vacation in the Bahamas turned into a nightmare for two young American tourists when they jumped hand in hand and were then attacked by a shark moments later.
Rileigh Decker, 20, and Yai Layman, 24, of Florida, were swimming in Bimini Bay on Thursday, 30 nautical miles off Florida. Royal Bahamas Police Force He said in a statement on Saturday.
The women now return to Florida after sharing Decker’s seizure from her hospital bed, after both women are bitten by a bull shark.
“We’re still very grateful to be here with all our limbs,” Decker told NBC’s “Today” show.
The girls went into the sea from a friend’s yacht, but after a while, Decker said, “I felt something in my leg.”

Decker was taken to a hospital in the Bahamas for further treatment. Once both were stable, both were flown back to Florida for Decker’s surgery.

Decker is awaiting his third surgery in the Orlando area after enduring two procedures to clean the wound and prevent infection. Both hope to make a full recovery.
