Walt Disney World Grants 106-Year-Old Birthday Wishes


LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Magnolia Jackson, a lifelong resident of Florida, had her dreams come true on Wednesday as Walt Disney World Resort transformed her 106th birthday into an enchanting celebration at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Jackson, whose official birthday falls on Thursday, March 14th, was inspired during her visit to the Florida Classic college football game in Orlando last autumn. It was there that she witnessed Mickey Mouse’s lively performance in his drum major attire, igniting an enduring passion for all things Disney and a fervent desire to mark her milestone birthday at Walt Disney World.

As the sun rose over the Magic Kingdom, Jackson was met with exuberant cheers from Disney cast members and executives, accompanied by the iconic figures of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, vibrant birthday banners, jubilant music, an array of colorful balloons, and a magnificent birthday cake.

Following the heartwarming reception, Jackson embarked on a tour of the Magic Kingdom, where she was privileged to spend time with Princess Tiana in anticipation of the summer debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction. Subsequently, she ventured to EPCOT, indulging her lifelong passion for gardening at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.
