The Arizona Community Foundation has announced the addition of Chelsea Buck-Leilich as Regional Philanthropic Advisor at ACF of Sedona. A longtime nonprofit executive, she previously served as director of development for Interfaith Community Services in San Diego.
California
The Sacramento Region Community Foundation has announced seven grants totaling $37,500 from the Dennis Mangers Fund for Young Performing Artists. The grants ensure that young people passionate about the performing arts can access high-quality instruction and pursue their dreams. Recipients include the Balance Dance Project, Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera, NorCal Arts, and the Arab Community Center for Integration Services.
Florida
The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties has announced a $1 million gift from Palm Beach residents Jorge A. Sanchez and Serina Bradley Martin Sanchez. The gift will benefit the Sanchez’s Cuban Scholarship Fund, which was created in 2002 and supports students of Cuban descent at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach and Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Sarasota.
Indiana
The Crosser Family Foundation, a fund of the Hamilton County Community Foundation (HCCF), has awarded grants totaling $404,676 to 21 nonprofit organizations. The fund supports organizations that focus on the communities in the county and surrounding areas in central Indiana. Recipients include Riverview Health Foundation, Fueled for School, Teter Organic Farm, and Noblesville Sister Cities.
Maryland
The Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF), in collaboration with the Greater Baltimore Committee, has announced its Key Bridge Small Business Direct Grant Program to provide direct cash assistance for businesses severely impacted by the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse last March. Backed by BCF’s Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund, the initiative will give priority to businesses located in southeastern Baltimore City, southeastern Baltimore County, and northern Anne Arundel County.
New Jersey
The Princeton Area Community Foundation (PACF) has announced grants totaling more than $3.8 million from its Bunbury Fund, which is sunsetting. The grants mark the fund’s 10-year anniversary as a donor advised fund, which opened at PACF in 2015. The latest grantees include Anchor House, Grounds for Sculpture, Isles, and Princeton Community Housing. As part of the sunsetting process, the fund has disbursed more than $17.1 million.
New Mexico
The Santa Fe Community Foundation has announced that its Las Campanas Community Funds (LCCF) have awarded grants totaling $1.1 million to 34 area nonprofits. This is a 25 percent increase over awards of $847,500 in 2024 and nearly 50 percent more than awarded in 2022. Over the past 20 years, LCCF has awarded more than $5 million to nonprofits focusing on the areas of health, human services, and education in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.
Pennsylvania
The Foundation for Delaware County in Media has announced that its president, Frances M. Sheehan, will retire in the fall after eight years at its helm. Sheehan became the foundation’s first president in January 2017, guiding its transition from the sale of Crozer-Keystone Health System to Prospect Medical Holdings into a community foundation.
Rhode Island
The Rhode Island Foundation has announced grants totaling nearly $130,000 to more than 20 nonprofits through its Black Philanthropy Bannister Fund. Recipients include the Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence, College Visions, the Genesis Center, and Inspiring Minds.
Virginia
The Williamsburg Community Foundation has announced the election of new officers and trustees to its board of trustees. David E. Bush was elected as treasurer, and Ti’Juana Gholson as secretary. In addition, Cheri Green, Edward Robinson, Erin A. Smith, and Mychael C. Willon were appointed to the board.
