Rhode Island Black Business Association President Lisa Ranglin joined GoLocalProv News Editor Kate Nagle on GoLocal LIVE, to talk about the 8th Annual Awards Gala taking place on Friday, October 11 at the Providence Omni.
“We have an amazing lineup — we’re recognizing ten individuals who have done incredible work here in the state, whether it’s small business owners, we’ll have community leaders — and more importantly, we’re raising needed funds for the organization, and also scholarships,” said Ranglin.
“We support college bound students — since the scholarship started back in 2015, we’ve actually awarded over $25,000 to a college bound student. And that is just incredible, because without your donation, some of these students will have a very difficult time in college,” said Ranglin.
