Levar Burton, a long-term life-based education lawyer, is well suited to deliver the 157th Start of Howard.
Howard University will be Spend its 157th Start Ceremony on Saturday, 2025 May 10, at 10 AM in the Historic Yard. The Milestone event will present the main actor, director and literacy lawyer Levar Barton.
A lawyer and famous actor of literacy is Burton well suited to deliver the main key Message to the next generation of black graduates. His illustrations RootsTo be in style Star Trek:: THe the next generation, aeration of Rainbow Her heritage in the Black-Fastenan community.
Over the years, Burton has been recognized as some of the highest institutions in the entertainment industry. Icon has earned 15 Emmy Awards, Peabody Prize and Grammy.
During the ceremony, the university will also present Burton, an honorary degree of the doctor of humanitarian letters. Additional honorable degrees will be awarded to individuals who have provided excellence and influence in their respective areas.

- Honorary Barbara Lee:A special civil servant, who served in the Congress for 27 years and played a key role in the group of Congress.
- Lilian Seai-BarrThe first black mayor of Northern Ireland, which is known for the protection of the community’s interests and civil rights.
- Natasha TrethweyPulse Award winner and former US poet laureate.
This year’s graduation lesson is planned to be one of the largest in the history of the university. All 14 graduates of Howard Schools and Colleges will take part in the surrurrant phase “long walk.” On the days of the main event, individual schools will be awarded and recognition ceremonies from May 7 to May 10.
