Why close several Kohl stores?
As you prepare to close several stores this weekend, Kohl has announced that many of its locations are low. According to USAThe company revealed its plans earlier this year, saying that 27 shops with a lower performance will close in April.
“While Kohl continues to believe in the health and strength of their profitable store base, these specific locations were low -performance shops,” the company said in a January 2025 press statement, for USA Today.
Kohls also said that all employees have been informed about closures and that they are “offered a competitive separation pack or the ability to apply to other functions open to Kohl’s.”
USA Today reported that Kohl’s stores experienced a significant struggle in the last quarter of 2024, and sales decreased by 9.4%.
What are some other changes to Kohl in the middle of the enclosures?
Kohl’s has announced that he is reducing 10% of his corporate work and also ending Amazon’s returns in some stores, USA reported. In May, the company plans to close its e -commerce compliance in San Bernardino, California, which has been operating since 2010. The company will still operate 1,120 stores after the next closures.
