On March 11, the icon filed a lawsuit against Bolladian for allegedly committing infringement of fraud and copyright when they were commercial members, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The court documents revealed that Clinton claimed that his ex-rep participated in a “decades” regime to sign his musical rights outside the singer’s signing in the formalities, making him the 90% owner of Clinton’s catalog. The presentation also mentions that he stole millions of dollars in Royalties on committing these crimes.
Bolladian’s lawyer, Richard Busch, defended his client by saying that this is another legal escape from the musician who will cause a loss.
“This is the most recent of a series of demands that Mr. Clinton has filed against Bridgeport and Armen Bolladian for the last 30 years, raising the same exact problems,” the lawyer said in a statement, according to Hollywood journalist. “He has lost every time.”
Clinton, recognized by many sampled successes, has been locked in a long legal dispute with the Bolladian producer on the fraudulent acquisition of rights over his songs through counterfeit procedures.
