Mendes Talked about the news at cinemaconConfirming the casting rumors that have been for about a year: Paul Mix like Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. The Quad also went on stage during Sony’s presentation.
When will the movies come out?
The biggest news that came out of the presentation we had not heard of before was that all films will be released in April 2028, with Tom Rothman, the head of Sony Tom Rothman, calling the films of the “first theatrical experience capable of Binge”, according to Mendes. No word if all films will fall at a time, once a week or some variation in the middle.
What is the project logline?
The logline we have so far is short and simple: “Each man has his own story, but together they are legendary.”
“We not only make a movie about the Beatles, but we make four.” Said the director on stage. “Maybe this is an opportunity to understand -a little more deeply.” Mendes also said that it would take a year to roll the films.
“I had been trying to make a movie for years, but I finally gave up,” Mendes told the cinema attendees, saying “the story was too big for a movie” and a television series did not look like the best.
“There should be a way to tell the epic story for a new generation … I can assure -you still have a lot to explore and I think we found a way to do it,” he continued.
