Read the full interview below.
What is the biggest thing you learned as SGA president so far?
The biggest thing I learned as SGA president is the importance of the borders. I must be first in my best and show myself to serve my delegation in the most effective way. Determining the border is necessary, especially when you are in a leadership role. It is easy to engage in the responsibilities and needs of others, but I learned that maintaining your own well -being allows you to appear with the best you lead.
What made you decide to attend the University of Clafflan for university students?
Initially, I was very sure as I wanted to attend the college. I was not until I visited the University of Clafflan, my decision started clear. The environment directed towards the family I met on the campus and the interest allocated to the well -being of Clavenin students was the reason that I decided to attend Claflin. In addition, the college is not cheap and Clafin has the opportunity to join the college without the need to get out of the pocket at all.

How did the University of Clafflan formed the person you are today?
Claflin University had a great impact on the formation of who I am today by providing a rich environment for growth, not only academic, but personal and professional. The university has planted a strong feeling of leadership and service, as it participated in the Student Government Association (SGA) and other campus initiatives, which always prompted me to be a proactive and responsible. The diverse and supportive community in Claflin has sponsored my ability to communicate effectively, build relations, and cooperate in ways that helped me excel in the leadership roles. In addition, academic challenges, especially as a marketing pioneer, helped me develop a strategic mentality and sharpen problem solving skills.

What are the specific initiatives that you went to this year (or planning), and how do you think it will improve the school and the surrounding community?
Some initiatives that have successfully implement my administration include under the leadership of hosting more than 40 HBCUS in our institution for SLI NASAP, where voting initiatives such as the presidency and the vice president of discussions are organized, providing freedom parties for professional development, organizing sessions for sexual development, and calling for safety improvements in the campus, such as installing fast bumps for sexual development. Health Awareness Committee, the invention of the City Hall meetings, and many of the most influential initiatives. Through the initiatives implemented by the University of Claflin SGA, I think we have the opportunity to enhance a stronger feeling of society inside and outside the campus. By organizing services projects, partnership with local organizations, and calling for improvements in the campus infrastructure, we will continue to enhance students ’life and contribute to the development of the surrounding community. The initiatives that focused on mental health, sustainability and academic support will not only be useful, but also raise the university’s reputation as a leader in social responsibility. In general, these efforts were and will continue to create a permanent legacy of cooperation and growth for both Clafflan University and the surrounding area.
How does your SGA management/school currently attend the mental health of students?
As the SGA administration, we were defending the implementation of mental health days, allowing students to the time they need to recharge and focus on their well -being without pressure academic responsibilities. In addition, we actively participate and return mental health advice through various channels, including social media and university campus. We are working to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and provide practical advice on stress management, maintain a balanced lifestyle, and search for support when needed.

What does driving mean to you?
For me, driving is a procedure, not a position. It is related to leadership to role models and show the values and behaviors that actively inspire others. Leadership is not defined by a title or authority, but by influencing and influencing his team or community. It comes to escalation, even when the lights are not on you, and others stimulate work for a common vision. Real leaders listen to and support and support those around them, and enable others to reach their full potential. Leadership also revolves around responsibility and decisions in integrity, ensuring that every action that is taken contributes to collective growth and the success of the group. It is a mentality – reading with the purpose, passion and commitment to serve others.
We are now living in a digital world, what do you think of schools that you should do to represent themselves online in 2025?
In order to represent the same online schools in 2025, she must focus on telling her unique story as an institution, especially as HBCU. HBCU’s story is rich in history, culture, flexibility and pride, and it is important to share this narration in a real and attractive way. Through digital platforms, schools should highlight the achievements of their students, faculty and graduates, and display the methods in which the institution enhances leadership, academic excellence, and the influence of society. By emphasizing the values that make HBCUS distinct – such as caring for a supportive environment for colored students, providing a strong feeling of cultural identity, and the production of graduates who make a difference in society – teachers can build a strong online existence that resonates with potential students, current students and graduates. In addition, it is important to use a varied digital content-such as videos, student certificates, scenes from behind the scenes, and look at the life of the campus, interactive virtual experiences-for the human human and create a communication that exceeds the traditional semester. In 2025, schools must adopt innovation and adapt to the digital age while their mission remains and its basic values, ensuring the narration of its story in an original and creative way, and its operation.

Why do you think watching the courtyard is important for black students and the culture of the kidney?
Watch The Yard is incredibly important for black students and the culture of the college because it inflated the sounds and experiences of black students in historical black colleges and universities (HBCUS) and other institutions. It is a platform showing the richness of black university life, from academic achievements to social movements, and highlights the unique culture, pride and traditions of black students.
Watch the courtyard celebrate the achievements and creativity of black students in ways that often overlook the prevailing media. It brings the vision of various experiences of black students, whether their participation in Greek life, activity, arts or leadership roles, which enhances the idea that black students form university culture and introduce them in strong ways. By sharing these stories, the Watch The Yard is helping to build a feeling of loneliness and pride among black students, and to create a society in which they can find support, inspiration and confirmation. It also encourages a broader audience to recognize the value that black students bring to higher education and society.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
