What is the biggest thing you learned as SGA president so far?
The largest lesson I learned as SGA president is the importance of leading the server – by distributing students’ needs first and brown leadership. It is not only about making decisions, but also to ensure that every initiative and policy directly benefits the Student Authority. I also learned the power of cooperation; A real change occurs when students, administration and stakeholders meet to work for a common goal.
What made you decide to attend the University of Florida A & M for university students?
Famo’s legacy of excellence, culture and commitment to the production of leaders is what attracted me. I wanted to be in the environment of my aspirations while surrounding me with similar individuals in thinking, flexibility and devoted to making a difference. Famu is not just a school, it’s Vamily, movement, and success.
How did the University of Florida A &M take you to the person you are today?
Famo took my confidence, strengthened my leadership skills, and instilled me a deep sense of responsibility to raise others. The university gave me opportunities to go out of my comfort area, call for my colleagues, and use an audio to pressure to change meaningful. It also taught me flexibility – achieving challenges and learning how to adapt with a focus on my goals.

What are the specific initiatives that you went to this year (or planning), and how do you think it will improve the school and the surrounding community?
Until now, two priorities have given the transparent communication with the Student Authority by hosting the regular city halls and increasing the chances of students ’participation to ensure that students feel listening and participating actively in making decisions on the campus. We also succeeded in obtaining a financing increase for the homeland, allowing increased cooperation of students and enhanced programming. In addition, we worked to enhance partnerships with other HBCUS, enhance unity and common resources between institutions that serve and raise black students.
There is another major initiative that we have been the efforts of the voter’s multiple participation, including the event “Our Flights to the Followers” event, which combines civil participation with the culture of the campus by encouraging students to vote while celebrating their votes. Through these efforts, we worked to increase the registration of voters, provide resources in the upcoming elections, and ensure that students understand the importance of participating in the democratic process.
Currently, we are in the process of re -establishing a grocery shuttle service to provide students with better access to new food at reasonable prices, addressing food insecurity on campus. Moreover, we are working closely with the head of the campus police to address the safety of the campus safety, while ensuring that students not only feel safe, but also have a direct contact line with campus security to express their concerns.
These initiatives are all part of a greater effort to enhance student experience, enhance accessibility, and build a stronger and more associated society in FAMU.

How does your SGA management/school currently attend the mental health of students?
My administration is actively enhancing support and mental health support services. One of our main initiatives is to create mental health departments for ensuring access to the resources and invitation they need.
In the fall season, we cooperated with the various sections of the campus to host the mental health exhibition worldwide, a comprehensive event that aims to enhance public well -being. This exhibition was characterized by artistic treatment, nutritional education, animal therapy, zumba classes, mental health workshops, shows, henna art, and other interactive activities designed to help students manage stress and define self -care priorities.
Our goal is to normalize talks on mental health, provide tangible support, and create a university campus culture that gives priority to the well -being of students in every aspect of university life.
What does driving mean to you?
Driving revolves around service, vision and influence. It is not only about keeping a title but about creating opportunities for others, making difficult decisions with integrity, and setting an example for those who come after you. The great leader listens more than he speaks and understands that success is not just an individual – it is related to the lifting of society.
We are now living in a digital world, what do you think of schools that you should do to represent themselves online in 2025?
I think that schools need to embrace digital stories novel – facilitate students’ achievements, cash sanctuary, and the success of graduates in an attractive and original way. Social media should be more than just ads; It should be a platform for communication, inspiration and student participation.

Why do you think watching the courtyard is important for black students and the culture of the kidney?
Watching the courtyard is a cultural archive and a platform for acting. This displays the distinction, traditions and leadership of black students, organizations and HBCUS in a way that often overlooks the prevailing media. It not only maintains our history, but also inspires the next generation by showing the influence of black student leaders throughout the country.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to teach mathematics in middle schools, focusing on being an example in disadvantaged societies. Education has the ability to transform lives, and I want to be a direct influence in the formation of young minds, especially in societies that need to be reliable and reliable leaders. My long -term goal is to become a supervisor in a school area, where I can call for fair education policies, improve students ’results, and create a sustainable change within the education system. I think that by starting the semester, I will gain the direct experience necessary to lead sympathy, insight and influence at the boycott level.
