What is the biggest thing you learned as SGA president so far?
As SGA president at Jarvis Christian University, I learned that driving revolves around service, patience and perseverance. Coming from Nigeria and the My Biology Major, Minist Cellistry Management, and laboratory management with my responsibilities as president, I realized that real change occurs through small victories and consistent call. Whether it addresses students ’fears, work with administration, or create opportunities for my colleagues, I have seen directly that the most influential leaders can enable others. This experience has strengthened my passion for service, which is a quality that I will carry in my future as a general surgeon – because whether in leadership or medicine, the real effect comes from making decisions that rise and support those who serve them.
What made you decide to attend Jarvis Christian for the university?
The presence of the University of Garfis Christian was rooted in both opportunities and society. As an international student from Nigeria, I wanted a school where I could excel academically while feeling support in a coherent environment. Jarvis presented that and more – she presented a strong program for biology, specialized professors, and a culture that enhances driving and personal growth. The university’s commitment to service and the success of the student with special values, and I knew that it was a place that could be paid, not only as a student but as a leader. My time has strengthened my passion for learning and service, and preparing me for the next steps on my trip.

How did the University of Garfis Christian formed you in the person you are today?
Garfis Christian University has played a decisive role in forming the person today by challenging me to grow academically, professionally and as a leader. As someone who turned away from home to get university education, I found a supportive environment that encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone, take leadership roles, and invite others. Through my experience as SGA president, laboratory manager, and an active member of the campus community, I have developed flexibility and ability to adapt and a deep sense of responsibility. Jarvis not only strengthened my academic basis, but also instilled me confidence in leading, serving and creating a significant effect wherever I go.
What are the specific initiatives that you went to this year (or planning), and how do you think it will improve the school and the surrounding community?
This year, my administration focused on initiatives that enhance students’ participation, advocacy and campus experience in general. One of our main projects was to enhance communication with student administration to ensure that students’ fears are heard and effectively dealt with. We have also worked to improve the life of campus through leadership development programs, community service initiatives, and the opportunities of communication that link students to professionals in various fields. In addition, we are planning the efforts of voter education to encourage civil participation and participation. These initiatives are designed to empower students, enhance the feeling of loneliness, and create permanent improvements that benefit the university and the surrounding community.

How does your SGA management/school currently attend the mental health of students?
Our SGA administration actively calls for promoting mental health resources and student support. We have worked closely with the counseling center to increase awareness of available services and reduce the stigma about help. This includes hosting mental health awareness and workshops on stress management and cooperation with faculty and employees to integrate mental health resources into academic life and university campus. In addition, we press for more consulting hours on campus and exploring partnerships with local institutions to provide students with more access to professional support. By defining mental health priorities, we aim to create an environment on the campus where students feel support and equipment to deal with academic and personal life challenges.
What does driving mean to you?
For me, driving revolves around service, responsibility and empowering others. Coming from Nigeria and moving in a new culture at Jarvis Christian University, I learned that leadership is not related to titles or control; It comes to listening to the needs of others, understanding their views, and directing them towards common goals. As SGA president, she directly faced the importance of role models, showing sympathy, and creating opportunities for success. Whether this is defending students or working with the administration to address fears, I am striving to ensure that everyone feels hearing and supported. Driving, for me, is a journey to grow and an opportunity to raise others – especially those who may feel or overlook it. I have been my experience in a leader who appreciates the service above all, and I aim to create an environment in which everyone has a chance of prosperity.

We are now living in a digital world, what do you think of schools that you should do to represent themselves online in 2025?
In 2025, schools need to adopt a more interactive and attractive presence online to communicate with both current students and potential title. It is no longer sufficient to have a website or social media pages-schools should focus on creating multi-platform dynamic experiments that display their culture, programs and community. Virtual tours, live questions and answers with faculty and students, and interactive content such as online seminars or scenes seem necessary. Schools must also invest in making their digital platforms available and easy to use, ensuring that all students can easily find information, apply for programs and interact with the school community online. Finally, highlighting students ’voices through blogs, blogs and social media preparations can help create a more honest and honest existence and happens directly to the digital generation today. By being useful and interactive, schools can build stronger connections and stand out in an increasing competitive scene.
Why do you think watching the courtyard is important for black students and the culture of the kidney?
Watch the annihilation is important because it broke the voices of black students and celebrates their unique experiences in the college. It provides a platform to highlight the achievements, activity and rich culture within the black society, especially in HBCUS. By displaying students’ stories, it enhances pride, solidarity and a sense of belonging. It is a space that enables black students, links them, and inspires future generations to follow up on higher education while preserving their roots.

What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to take a gap year to work as EMT and prepare for MCAT. I am excited to gain practical experience in emergency care, as I will deepen my understanding of patient care and challenges facing health care workers in critical situations. This time it will also allow me to focus on my MCAT setting, ensuring that I am completely ready for the College of Medicine. I look forward to professional and personal growth this year, while continuing to work for my goal of becoming a general surgeon.
