Jackson, Mississippi, was elected Senator John Horn, his next boss. Horhn, a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, INC. won. The General Elections on Tuesday after the current mayor was defeated by Chokwe Lumumba on April.
In the general elections, Horne faced many competitors, including Republican candidate Kenny Ji and independent Rodney Dipress, Zak Siadis, Leila Stewart Robinson and Kim Wad. His victory puts him in taking over the leadership of the Mississippi state after the season of competitive campaigns.

According to Campaign websiteHorhn brings more than three decades of experience in the Senate in Mississippi, where he has worked for 32 years representing parts of Hinds and Madison provinces in Province 26. He is currently working as head of the Housing Committee, provincial institutions and financial and firm governorates.
Throughout his career, Bahrain was recognized as a strong advocate of economic development, especially in Jackson. For 12 years, the Senate Economic Development Committee chaired the care or assistance in passing legislation that allows more than one billion dollars in projects that support the city, including public facilities, hotels, museums and infrastructure improvements such as water and sanitation systems.
Before entering his elected position, Horne has played various leadership roles in the state government, including positions in the Mississippi Arts Committee, the Mississippi Film Office, the Mississippi Tourism Office, and the Ruler’s Office for Federal/Governmental Programs. In the private sector, it works as a business development consultant in industries including health care, housing, engineering and small business development.

The priorities of his campaign include, as shown on its website, unlike the decrease in the population, the improvement of infrastructure, the promotion of economic development, the support of the workforce in the city, the promotion of public education and job opportunities, and the improvement of public safety. He also emphasized the reform of the city’s reputation and the reinforcement of the unit between the Jackson leadership.
With his election, Horn became the latest member of the phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. To occupy the position of a major leader in the municipality, and to continue the long traditions of the organization in civil participation and public service.
