The Allstate Next Wave National Exhibition Black Star made history when it presented the first national showcase event dedicated to promoting Black high school football players. hosted by Prairie View A&M Universityexperience combined visibility, development and real recruiting opportunities, all backed by Allstate’s commitment to protecting the future of the game. The launch reflects the growing excitement around HBCU athletics and the broader sports culture.
Texas Southern University Head coach Danesha Adams served as the Coaching Director at the showcase, leading training sessions and offering insights into the development pipeline for young athletes. Black Star and Allstate have also partnered on exclusive branded content, including an upcoming interview with Adams that will be included after the broadcast.
more than 20 college, pro scouts and agents participated Allstate Next Wave National Exhibitionwith a strong presence from HBCU football programs including Prairie View A&M, Texas Southern University, Hampton, Jackson State, Southern, Alabama State, Tougaloo College and Wiley College.
One of the participating agents confirmed their interest in inviting two to three outstanding athletes to the upcoming NWSL Combine, showing the immediate impact of the exhibition on the athletes’ paths.
Player Development led by the Black Female Gamer Collective
The Black Female Player Collectivethe leading global organization advocating for Black women and girls in soccer, has partnered with Black Star to deliver its development programs. Professional athletes Briana Pinto, Estelle Johnson, Taylor Smith, and DeAira Jackson led workshops focused on leadership, player identity and professional development. Women’s sports media company TOGETHXRfounded by world-renowned athletes, served as the official content partner for the showcase. With a commitment to empower women’s sports stories, TOGETHXR partnered with Black Star and BWPC to capture original content highlighting the event’s culture, competition and impact on society.
