Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUS) became the main player in the rapid growth of women’s flag football. It offers new opportunities for female athletes in a national and global-known sport.
Support from organizations such as NFL and NAIA (Intercollegiate Athletics Association), HBCUS competitive women’s flag is now leading to develop football programs.
Flag football for high school girls, young female athletes arise rapidly as a popular and transformative sport that offers new opportunities and roads.
On a total of 17, Ki’lolo Westerlund reinstall the playbourd for female flag football. Super Bowl Lix 50 commercials, 50 commercial, Myles Garrett, Justin Jefferson and Marshwn Lynch, a point shared with NFL stars.

Last April, HBCU Alabama State, an FCS program, became the first division launching a Women’s Flag Football Program. This foundation is not only an expanded opportunities for female athletes, but also appoints the stage for a new period in collegial sport.

Westerlund’s collegio travel is just a bigger beginning of vision. While excited to compete at the board level, his last ambition is to represent his country in the 2028 Olympics.
For him, the Olympic phase is not only on personal achievement – this is an opportunity to demonstrate the growing power and potential of female flag football on the global platform.
