Savannah State University (SSU) was accredited by bachelor’s technology in bachelor’s technology in engineering technologies and computing college, an Abet Engineering Commission, Abet Development Commission, ISO 9001 certified quality assurance. Accreditation of academic programs, recognition of credentials and student learning, abet supports perfection in education in the world.
In addition to the latest accreditation for the engineering technology program, the SSU Civil Engineering Technology Program and Electronics Engineering Technologies Program reconcorrreed from Abet.

Savannah State University has offered abet-accredited engineering technologies programs since October 1, 1973, it has made it a first and oldest program between HBCUS in Georgia. This year, the University Engineering Technologies and Accounting College launched the first academician college college for engineering technology in any HBCU in Georgia.
