As Delaware State’s football coach, Delaware State’s football coach is beginning to attract attention from other universities.
Jackson is one of several names being considered for the vacant Sacramento State football job, according to a report from CBS Entertainment’s Matt Zenitz.
Jackson, who presided over his best record since 2007, was included in a pool of candidates that included former Stanford coach Troy Taylor and Arizona assistant coach and staff coach Alonzo Carter.

Delaware State is coming off its first winning season since 2012 under Jackson after finishing 8-4, 4-1 and 4-1 in the Eastern Athletic Conference, behind conference champion South Carolina State. Jackson was named Boxtorow hbcu football coach of the year and A finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award for Coach of the Year.
