North Carolina A&T head men’s basketball coach Montè Ross has been publicly reprimanded after being involved in a confrontation with game officials.
CAA Commissioner Joe D’Antonio announced Saturday that Ross violated the conference’s sportsmanship policy in Dec. 31’s 85-74 loss to the Northeastern Aggies. Ross was fouled with 25 seconds left in the game, then confronted officials as he left the court and back into the locker room.

“I have spoken to head coach Ross and let him know that his actions towards the match officials are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.” D’Antonio said in a statement. “Any further incidents during the remainder of the season will result in a more severe penalty.”
Ross has not commented on the incident or reacted to CAA’s action.
The Aggies are currently 7-7 overall and 0-3 in league play.
