Huston-Tillotson University and Paul Quinn College will be the newest full member of the HBCU Sports Conference on July 1, 2025 As declared the conference on Monday. Both organizations will pass through the Red River Conference to 15 schools to 15 HBCUAC. This expansion records the continuing obligation to develop the competition of the conference and provide growing championship opportunities for student-athletes.
“We are pleased to greet Huston-Tillotson University and Paul Quinn College at the HBCU Athletic Conference,” said HBCAC commissioner Kiki Baker Barnes, PHD. “Both institutions bring a tradition of a sports and academic perfection, and in addition, the highest level of student-athletes strengthen the mission of improving the HBCU athletics of my conference.”
Huston-Tillotson University offers a healthy sports program from men and women’s basketball, cross, football, trace and field, baseball, softball and female volleyball. Paul Quinn College competes in men and women’s basketball, cross country, football, road and field and female volleyball. Their inclusion is not only increasing the level of competition within the conference, but also leads to adding men and women’s football as the official HBCUAC Championship.

Wallace. “This movement raises our sports program, enhances our employment, and the talent and labor of our athletes will be seen and the type of competition in a league, more exposure, more exposure, and more exposure.”

With the addition of Huston-Tillotson University and Paul Quinn College Hbcuac Historically, it continues to grow strategically, strengthening its position as the first conference for black colleges and universities. As a championship sports, the application of male and female football reflects the league in connection with the expansion of the league sports opportunities and increasing competition capital among member agencies.
