Marshall Faulk will invest at least one million dollars in the Southern football program as head coach.
Baton Rouge TV station WBRZ reported on this. Faulk is slated to make $1.2 million over the next three years, or $400,000 a year..
The Pro Football Hall of Famer will also have a $950,000 pool for assistant coaches.
Faulk was officially hired as the Jaguars’ new coach on Dec. 1Replaced Terrence Graves, who was fired after a 1-6 start. Former Alcorn State head coach Fred McNair served as interim head coach and led the way to a 28-27 win over Grambling in the Southern Bayou Classic.
Graves was reportedly offered the position as part of a mutual agreement with Southern within the athletic program.
