Howard Bison just keeps rolling.
Bryce Harris had another strong performance Saturday night, leading Howard with 18 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. UNC Wilmington67–66, the team’s fifth straight win.
The Bison (9-5) looked sharp early and led 38-27 at halftime. They went on a 7-0 halftime run to extend their lead to 14.
From there, Howard had to fend off a late push by a tough Seahawks team, but held on for the one-point victory.
Cam Gillus added 16 points, knocking down three of five 3-pointers, while Cedric Taylor III filled the box score with 15 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
Together, the trio controlled the tempo and made big plays when Howard needed them most.
UNC Wilmington (10-2) didn’t go quietly. Patrick Wessler had 13 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, and Christian May had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
The loss ended the Seahawks’ nine-game winning streak, but showed just how close these two programs are.
The Bison are starting to look like a team hitting their stride – balanced scoring, tough rebounding and composure late in the game.
With five straight wins, Howard’s momentum is building at just the right time.
