University of the South Will be the latest HBCU to take a gamble on a former NFL player as head coach.
According to a report by Baton Rouge TV station Wafb, Kevin Batiste Jr. The Jaguars will announce PRO FOOTBALL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk as the Program’s next football coach.

Faulk currently serves as the head coach under Colorado running back Dion Sanders.
Faulk, 52, played 12 seasons in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams, passing for 12,279 yards and 6,875 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns along with 12 for 100 touchdowns.
2000 Won the NFL Most Valuable Player Award, Scrimmage and 26 Touchdowns, the fifth-highest single-season total of 26 touchdowns, winning the Most Valuable Player Award. In 2011, he was recognized in the Football Hall of Fame.
South staff second-year coach Terrence Grades after a 1-6 start. Former Alcorn State Head Coach Fred McNair is serving as interim coach. The Jaguars are 1-10 this weekend in the BAYOU Classic against Grambling in their hometown of New Orleans.
